2958 Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City

This 56 story tower in the Journal Square Redevelopment Area of Jersey City is a true mixed use building.

It features 186 Residential apartments, a 115 room hotel,  restaurant and banquet hall as well as amenity floors, parking and street level retail space. Occupying a prominent location on the corner of Kennedy Boulevard and Cottage Street,  just one block north of the icon Stanley Theatre, the standalone tower offers views in all directions. Although the lot itself is irregular with sharp angles the building form is softened with rounded corners and sweeping curves. The elimination of corners (and therefore distinct sides) means that the building does not face any one direction but all directions equally.

The lower wrapped facade is influenced by the lotus flower with 3 overlapping 'petals' that ascend from grade eventually dissipate to full glass curtainwall at the top of the building. The overlapped edges also provide opportunities for outdoor terraces and private balconies. The primary facade material is a Prismatic Aluminum that will subtly change color from white to rose to pearl when seen from different angles or as the sun moves across the sky.
