Augustus Dane

Project Architect

 

Augustus joined MVMK in the spring of 2022 as a project architect. Prior to his affiliation with our firm, he worked in Manhattan as an intermediate architect specializing in historical preservation and facade restoration, where he was responsible for all aspects of a project from contract documents, through bidding, construction administration, and regulatory sign-off. Augustus’s passion for architecture comes from a lifelong obsession with manipulating objects and materials in order to create something entirely different. Working in architectural design is a way for him to connect shapes and materials within a specific environment to achieve cohesiveness. The simple act of designing to make something functional or beautiful brings him endless satisfaction. His current area of interest and exploration is adaptive reuse, specifically in urban or industrial environments. Augustus earned his B.Arch from the College of Art and Design at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is actively pursuing licensure in both New Jersey and New York.
